Sample Collection Information
To ensure accurate results, the ideal sampling time for the Ethosuximide Test is the trough level, just prior to the next dose of the medication. A sample of 2 mL (1 mL minimum) serum must be collected from a red top tube (no additive). Please note that SST gel barrier tubes are not suitable for this test. The sample should be shipped refrigerated or frozen.
A duly filled Test Send Out Consent Form (Form 35) is mandatory for processing.
