Sample Collection and Instructions
For the Fever SARS-CoV-2 Panel Test, the following sample types are required:
- Oropharyngeal and Nasopharyngeal Swabs / ET secretions / BAL / Sputum inoculated in special viral transport medium (VTM)
- 4 mL (2 mL min.) whole blood in 1 Lavender Top (EDTA) tube
- 5 mL (3 mL min.) serum from 1 SST
Samples must be shipped refrigerated and should not be frozen. Overnight fasting is preferred. A duly filled Covid-19 Clinical Information Form (Form 44) / SRF ID is mandatory.
