Interleukin-6 IL-6 SARS-CoV-2 Advanced Panel Test
Introduction
The Interleukin-6 IL-6 SARS-CoV-2 Advanced Panel Test is a vital diagnostic tool that helps in understanding the immune response to SARS-CoV-2, the virus responsible for COVID-19. This test not only detects the presence of the virus but also measures the levels of Interleukin-6 (IL-6), a cytokine that plays a crucial role in the body’s inflammatory response. Elevated IL-6 levels have been associated with severe cases of COVID-19, making this test essential for timely medical intervention.
What the Test Measures
This advanced panel test evaluates several critical parameters, including:
- SARS-CoV-2 Qualitative PCR: Detects the presence of the virus.
- IL-6: Measures the cytokine levels associated with inflammation.
- Complete Blood Count (CBC): Provides insights into overall health.
- D-Dimer: Assesses blood clotting risk.
- And more, including Troponin-I, Ferritin, and CRP.
Who Should Consider This Test
Individuals who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, such as fever, cough, and difficulty breathing, should consider this test. Additionally, those with risk factors such as pre-existing health conditions or exposure to confirmed cases of COVID-19 may benefit from this test.
Benefits of Taking the Test
- Early detection of SARS-CoV-2 infection.
- Assessment of inflammatory response through IL-6 levels.
- Guidance for appropriate medical treatment and intervention.
- Peace of mind for individuals concerned about their health.
