Oncomine Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia CML Panel Test
Introduction
The Oncomine Chronic Myeloid Leukaemia (CML) Panel Test is a cutting-edge diagnostic tool designed to identify specific genetic mutations associated with chronic myeloid leukaemia. This test plays a crucial role in the management and treatment of CML by providing insights into the genetic profile of the disease.
What the Test Measures
This advanced test utilizes Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) technology to detect mutations in various genes that are known to be involved in the pathogenesis of CML. The test components include:
- ABL1
- ASXL1
- CBL
- DNMT3A
- ETV6
- HRAS
- IDH1
- IDH2
- JAK2
- KIT
- KRAS
- MYC
- MECOM
- NRAS
- RUNX1
- RB1
- SF3B1
- SH2B3
- TP53
- TET2
- WT1 FUSION GENE – ABL1, ETV6, JAK2, KMT2A, MECOM, RUNX1
Who Should Consider This Test?
This test is recommended for individuals who:
- Show symptoms of chronic myeloid leukaemia, such as fatigue, fever, and unexplained weight loss.
- Have risk factors including a family history of leukaemia or previous exposure to radiation.
Benefits of Taking the Test
Taking the Oncomine CML Panel Test offers numerous benefits:
- Accurate identification of genetic mutations helps tailor treatment strategies.
- Assists healthcare providers in monitoring disease progression and response to therapy.
- Improves patient outcomes through personalized medicine.
Understanding Your Results
After completing the test, results will indicate the presence or absence of specific mutations. A healthcare provider will guide you through the interpretation of these results and discuss potential treatment options based on your genetic profile.
