- Patients should avoid consuming bananas, walnuts, tomatoes, pineapples, plums, gooseberries, avocados, aubergines, kiwi fruits, and chocolates for at least 48 hours before the test. Avoid strenuous exercise. Inform your doctor about all medications you are taking, especially Lithium, MAO Inhibitors, Methyldopa, Reserpine, and Fluoxetine, as they may affect results. Discuss any concerns with your healthcare provider before the test.
