Copper Serum Test
The Copper Serum Test is a vital diagnostic tool used to measure the level of copper in the serum, which is essential for various bodily functions, including the formation of red blood cells and the maintenance of healthy bones, nerves, and immune systems. Copper is a trace mineral that plays a significant role in metabolic processes and is crucial for the proper functioning of enzymes in the body. Abnormal levels of copper can indicate underlying health issues, making this test important for early diagnosis and treatment.

This test specifically measures the concentration of copper in the serum. High or low levels of copper can indicate conditions such as Wilson’s disease, Menkes disease, or other metabolic disorders. It helps healthcare providers understand the copper metabolism in the body and assess the risk of associated diseases.
