Sample Requirements
The sample required for this test includes:
- 3 mL (2 mL min.) whole blood in 1 Lavender Top (EDTA) tube
- 2 mL (1 mL min.) plasma from 1 Grey Top (Sodium Fluoride) tube
- 3 mL (1.5 mL min.) serum from 1 SST
- 10 mL (5 mL min.) aliquot of random urine
All samples should be shipped refrigerated and must not be frozen. A duly filled Consent form for HIV testing & Pre-test counselling (Form 10 & 10A) is mandatory.
