Turnaround Time: Sample collected on Tuesday or Friday by 9 am; report available the next day.
Sample Type: 10 mL (5 mL min.) aliquot of 24-hour urine collected in a dark-colored container without preservative. Ship frozen. DO NOT THAW. Record 24-hour volume on the test request form and urine container. Refrigerate during collection AND 4 mL (2 mL min.) whole blood from 1 metal-free Royal Blue Top (K2EDTA) tube available from LPL. Ship refrigerated. DO NOT FREEZE. Use powderless gloves during specimen collection.
Pre-Test Instructions: If gadolinium or iodine-containing contrast media has been administered, specimen should not be collected for 96 hours.
