Mercury Random Urine Test
Introduction to the Mercury Random Urine Test
The Mercury Random Urine Test is a critical diagnostic tool used to measure the levels of mercury in the urine. Mercury is a heavy metal that can cause serious health issues when accumulated in the body. This test is particularly important for individuals who may have been exposed to mercury through environmental sources or occupational hazards. Early detection of mercury exposure can lead to timely interventions and prevent long-term health complications.
What the Test Measures
This test detects the concentration of mercury in a random urine sample. High levels of mercury in urine can indicate recent exposure to mercury, which may be due to consumption of contaminated fish, occupational exposure, or environmental pollution.
