The sample for the Silver Serum Test requires 3 ml of serum from a metal-free White Top (Z tube – No Additive) tube. Please ensure the following pre-test instructions are followed:
- Avoid silver-containing medications or food supplements for 3 days prior to sample collection.
- If Gadolinium or Iodine-containing contrast media has been administered, do not collect the specimen for 96 hours.
- Use powderless gloves during specimen collection.
